Take time to read, take your time to understand that in the midst of trials and the storms, God has a plan for you. God has a plan for me.
I am hopeful through the reading of this book, you will see a glimpse of yourself, of each obstacle, each challenge and roadblock, hopefully a small piece of grit and strength breaks through for you to persevere and rise above the haters to fulfill your destiny.
God has a roadmap that is specifically ordained for us to walk on and I truly know God will always cover us with his grace, mercy and protection.
About Dr. Denise King
Dr. Denise P. King is a retired principal and educator with over thirty years of experience. She is a true advocate for the underrepresented student and focuses on supporting student progress and protecting the rights of others. She has served in several local school districts in New Jersey. Dr. King earned her B.A. from Rutgers University, M.Ed. from Cheyney University (HBCU), and Doctor of Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Her professional experiences include teacher, professional development facilitator, assistant director, consultant, healing-centered engagement coach, vice principal, and principal.

She has received several prestigious awards including recognition as a National Distinguished Principal (NAESP Valic Award), NJPSA (New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association) Visionary Elementary Principal and the New Jersey Department of Education Visionary Elementary Principal.

Dr. King is happily married to her husband Marcus, the proud mother of three awesome sons: Larry, Quadree, and Marcus Jr., a grandmother and caretaker of her precious granddaughter, Naasia. She was born, raised, and educated in Camden, New Jersey. King, one of four siblings, credits her parents with teaching the importance of education and hard work to always be respectful, stay humble, and to always embrace diversity. Humbled and grateful, she celebrates the achievements of those who paved the way for her and others and strives to pay it forward.
As a new author and entrepreneur, I'm excited to announce an event I am hosting Celebrating Generational Trailblazers on March 4th at 3:30pm. It is an honor to celebrate and spotlight generational trailblazers who are making a difference with significant contributions to their family and community.

Now more than ever its important to celebrate, honor, and give people their flowers while they are still here. They are pioneers and super stars right within our community.🌟
It is my passion and purpose to help the community see all of the many gifts and talents that surround us.
